Curated Directories
When confronted with a new domain, field, or subject area, there's often too much information for me to properly orient. Maps help solve this problem—they help you orient. These directories aim to be maps of a kind. I'm aiming for makeshift versions of aisafety.world or the "Map of the prediction market & forecasting ecosystem" for various domains.
Think of these links as folders on my bookmarks bar, but slightly more organized and better curated. The following qualities apply to most of the links in the directories:
- They're interesting to me — I'd like to read them at some point given their usefulness to the right project.
- Sometimes they come from sources that I trust (e.g. a blog I like, a friend, a Twitter account I like, a good Google search, a recommendation from a blog I like/friend/Twitter account I like).
- I haven't read most of them in detail; usually, most are something "I'd like to read".
